If you’re into Shamrock, Oreo mint, and candy cane ice cream flavors, you’re going to love this. This Ninja Creami mint chocolate chip ice cream is creamy, refreshing, and balanced — no toothpaste aftertaste, just legit mint + chocolate.

I was always scared to try mint ice cream. I didn’t want it to taste like toothpaste!
For the longest time, I avoided this flavor in my Ninja Creami. But then I realized I could control the mint intensity. A little goes a long way when adding mint flavor.
Now, I’ve perfected a recipe that’s creamy, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. Oh, how I love how it turned out, and I hope you do too!

- Extra Add-ins – Try crushed Oreos, Andes mints, or peppermint bark!
How to Make Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

- In a blender, combine half and half, sweetened condensed milk, cottage cheese, vanilla, and mint flavoring. Blend until smooth and creamy.

- Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container. Freeze for at least 24 hours.

- Once frozen, place the container in the Ninja Creami machine. Select the Ice Cream setting and let it spin.

- If too crumbly, add a splash of milk and respin.

- Stir in chocolate chips or use Mix in function and enjoy!

- Serve & Enjoy – Scoop into a bowl and dig in!
🍒Fun Mix-Ins and Topping Ideas
- Crushed Oreos (mint cookies & cream vibes)
- Extra chocolate chunks or shaved chocolate
- Chopped walnuts or almonds for crunch
- Shredded coconut (surprisingly good with mint)
How to Store Leftovers
If you have leftovers, be sure to flatten the top before refreezing. This ensures that when you re-spin in the Ninja Creami, the blade doesn’t get damaged. You can also let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes or use the microwave’s ice cream softening setting before enjoying again!
👪Serving Size
This recipe is made for the Ninja Creami Deluxe (24 ounce pint), so it yields 4 servings.

Tips for Success
- If the texture is crumbly, add 1-2 tablespoons of milk and respin.
- For a stronger mint flavor, increase the mint extract slightly.
- For softer ice cream, let it sit for a few minutes before eating.
- Freeze for at least 24 hours to ensure the best results.
Recipe FAQs
Mint flavoring is very concentrated, and even a tiny extra splash can overpower the base. Start with a small amount, blend, and adjust in future batches rather than adding more after freezing. Using mint chocolate chip flavoring instead of straight peppermint extract also helps keep the flavor balanced.
Crumbly texture usually means the base is too frozen or needs more moisture. Add 1–2 tablespoons of milk or half and half and use the Respin cycle. This almost always fixes it.
Yes, but use less than you think — peppermint extract is stronger than mint chocolate chip flavoring. Start with ¼ teaspoon or less, then adjust in your next batch if needed.
Always add chocolate chips after spinning using the Mix-In cycle. Finely chopped chocolate or mini chips work best because they distribute evenly and don’t freeze into hard chunks.
Yes. Flatten the surface before refreezing so the blade spins evenly next time. When ready to eat, let the pint sit out for a few minutes or run a Respin for the creamiest texture.
Absolutely. The green color is purely visual and doesn’t affect flavor or texture at all. The ice cream will still taste the same without it.
